If you’ve recently cut your hair and want your long locks back or or want to grow your hair for a change or special occassion, you might be looking for hair growth tips and products. Well in The Hair Fuel Review post, I’ll share with you my hair growth in a month journey, whilst using The Hair Fuel mask treatment.
About The Hair Fuel
The Hair Fuel was created by Laura after she had a bad experience with a perm. After trying numerous products she decided to create her own treatment. With three degrees under her belt she delved in to find ingredients that worked for her.
Laura found a combination of ingredients and developed a hair mask formular that she shared with friends, who all reported improved hair growth. Since then she partnered with a laboratory to enhance the formular and produce enough quantities for the increasing demand.
The Hair Fuel mask is designed to help speed up hair growth, reduce hair loss and strengthen hair follicles. The science behind it, is that the ingredients help increase the blood flow to the roots of your hair, which in turn stimulates hair growth.
The ingredients include: Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Sucrose, Brassica Alba Seed Extract, Brassica Juncea Seed Extract, Oryza Sativa Powder, Caffeine, Mentha Piperita Oil, Capsicum Frutescens Fruit Powder – all of which are natural and vegan. The mask is cruelty free and paraben and phtalate free.
How to use The Hair Fuel
The kit comes in two parts which you need to mix together. You get everything you need in the kit, including; applicator bottle, powder mix, oil sachets, shower cap and tape measure – to measure your progress.
Fill the applicator bottel with 30ml (2 tablespoons) of warm water. This fills about 1/3 of the bottle.
Add contents from the powder sachet and then the oil sachet into the bottle.
Close the lid and shake well for 15-20 seconds – until all the lumps are gone and it becomes universal in texture.
Apply the mixture to the scalp and roots only, avoiding the lenths. I advise to use a wide tooth comb, to seperate the hair into sections, to get all the roots.
It is recommended to apply a deep conditioner to the lengths of your hair to keep it hydrated and nourished while the Hair Fuel is working.
Cover your hair with the shower cap and then wrap a towel around it, to keep in the warmth.
Leave your hair for 45 minutes. I liked to watch some netflix while I waited.
After 45 mins, you can rinse out the product and contine with your usual shampoo and conditioner.
Things to consider
The kit says you might feeling a tingling or burning sensation on your scalp once you have applied the Hair Fuel. This is a sign that the product is activated and working.
I did feel a slight burning feeling, but no more than when I’ve used hair dye or bleach. It feels like when I used the Colour B4 Extra Strength Hair Colour Remover. So if you are used to using those type of products on your hair, you should be okay.
It can be a bit daunting the first time you feel something like that on your scalp, but it shouldn’t be something to worry about. If it continues to burn after you have washed the product out then I would be a bit more concerned.
You should also do a skin sensitivity test before using the treatment.
The Hair Fuel Review – My hair growth in a month
I got a one month trial of the Hair Fuel. Which includes 4 sachets of the powder and oil, so that you can do one application of treatment every week for a month. I used the treatment every Monday.
Before I started the Hair Fuel treatment, I had recently cut my hair to shoulder length. I measured my hair using the tape measure provided in the kit. My hair measured 11 inches. According to research your hair grows on average, about half an inch a month.
After using the Hair Fuel for a month, I measured my hair again and it was 12.3 inches. This means my hair growth in a month was 1.3 inches, which is more than avaerage.
To be honest I was really surprised my hair had grown that much, because every week when I did the treatment, I didn’t really notice much difference. However looking back at the picture I took before using the treatment, you can definetly see my hair has grown.
Does The Hair Fuel work?
My hair definetly did grow after using the Hair Fuel for a month. The thing with growing your hair and hair growth treatments is that you have to keep on top of it, depending on how much you want to grow your hair. If you are struggling with hair growth then it’s worth while giving it a try, I’m happy with the results.
