Etsy Beauty Christmas Gift Guide
It’s time for my first Christmas gift guide of 2020. This year has been a bit of a disaster for a lot of people, what with Covid and lockdown. One of the big movements this year has been to shop more locally and support smaller business. I think this is an indcredible thing and something I try to do where possible. With this is mind I wanted to create an Etsy Beauty Christmas Gift Guide. There are so many amazing smaller businesses on Etsy and there really is something for everyone. Of course as a beauty enthusiast, I’ve put together some of my favourite beauty items that you can give to someone this Christmas.
Bath Bomb Gift Set
Bath bombs are always a good gift option for Christmas. This 12 pack gift set* from Pretty Fizzy Things is fab. It includes a range of colourful bath bombs each with a different scent. All the bombs are handmade from natural ingredients and are Vegan and Cruelty free. The packaging is made from recycled materials and is recyclable, which is amazing. This set is Β£9.75.
Makeup/Toiletry Bag
Naadu from A Bag Less Ordinary makes a range of different size bags and prints. Personally I love this big makeup bag* with the William Morris Strawberry Thief print for Β£28. The bag is lined with an oilcloth waterproof lining and has a base which makes it easy to stand up right and a blue zip with silver leather zip pull.
Bumble Bee Reusable Face Pads
Reusable Face Pads have become really popular recently. They are an eco friendly alternative to disposable cotton pads you can buy from the shop. These bumble bee reusable face pads* are adorable. The pads are made from 100% cotton and you can choose from either super soft fleece or terry towelling for the reverse. They come in a set of 7, complete with a drawstring washbag. For Β£9.85 you can’t go wrong, as it’s something you will potentially use everyday. They also come in a set of 14 pads for Β£14.29 or 21 pads for Β£18.98. Reusable Beauty Buds
Similary, another sustainable gift option are these reusable beauty buds* from Willowood UK. Intended for makeup cleanup, these come as a set of 2 in a lightweight slim carry case. Simply wash with water after use. You can choose from 4 colours; Khaki, Rose, Lilac or Grey. As someone who uses cotton buds to tidy up winged eyeliner, I think these are great at Β£8.50.
Eye Mask and Pillow
Self care has been a theme this year, so this eye mask and eye pillow set* from Carol Tye Bags is perfect. Made from cotton, the eye pillow contains organic flaxseed, pure lavender essential oil and dried lavender that is grown in Carol’s garden. She also offers a unscented version. Simply pop in the microwave for 30 seconds. You can also put it in the freezer for a couple of hours for a cooling effect. The outer fabric is removable so you can wash it. The eye mask is made from tana lawn cotton. Front and elastic is a Liberty fabric. The inner is a co-ordinated velvet and in between is wadding. This gorgeous is set is Β£27.
Personalised Makeup Brush Holder
How cute is this makeup brush holder*? I just love the design. You can personalise the pot with a name to make it that extra bit special. Such a good gift for Β£12.50. Each one is ceramic and made to order in their studio in Cheshire. Foxy and Willow also do a selection of other designs as well as a whole bunch of other products.
Beauty Blender Holder
To go with a make up brusher holder, you could also get a beauty blender holder*. Beauty blenders are difficult to store, especially when letting them to dry after washing. Alice from Print House London has specifically designed the holder and they are made from PLA plastic which is a 100% biodegradable material. The filament is also made from 100% recycled PLA plastic. They come in a variery of colours and you can also request a custom colour if needed. The beauty blender holder is Β£4.50.
Rose Gold Satin Pillowcase and Scrunchie Set
This Rose Gold Satin Pillowcase & Scrunchies Set* is gorgeous. Satin pillowcases and scrunchies are more gentle for the hair. For Β£19.80 this set includes 1 standard size pillow case, 1 rose gold scrunchie and 1 champagne scrunchie. Lauren from the Little Lauren Shop handmakes all her orders. There are other colours available.

I’ve never bought from Etsy. I did spot some pretty necklaces, but the postage was ridiculously over-priced for such tiny, lightweight items. Even if they’d put them in smart boxes, they could have fitted them all in one jiffy bag with insurance for well under a fiver- a fraction of the charge per item. I went elsewhere, so they lost a sale.

Sadly, Etsy is not a website that I am familiar with. However, after reading this, I’m going to head over there next to see what I can find.
I usually do the majority of my Christmas shopping on Ebay or Amazon. But I suppose I could check out Etsy.
Being completely honest, I’ve looked at Etsy and found lots of lovely things I would like to buy. But I just can’t justify to myself spending 3 or 4 times as much as I want to on each gift. It’s a shame because I really would love to support the small businesses, I just can’t afford to. Instead I’ve actually bought quite a few gifts from charity shops, so I console myself with the fact that at least I’m supporting the charities.

Definitely! I can spend hours on there (and ££££s). I recently bought some lovely decorative pieces for our sonβs newly-decorated room and have also bought several stocking-fillers.

I have bought a travel memories box on Etsy this year as a gift. I also bought a paper chain kit & a paper folding Christmas card set from Etsy too. All the items have arrived quickly and were lovely, exactly what I was after.
