Beauty Practices That Work From The Inside Out

If you think that beauty is skin deep, then you’re much mistaken. How we appear to the outside world is the total our of biology – everything from the fat pads under our skin, to our blood vessels, lymph and muscle tissue. That’s why all the best beauty regimes start deep in the body and then work their way outwards. There can be many beauty practices that work.

Think about what you look like when you turn your attention to the inside of your body. People comment on how “fresh-faced” and vibrant you look. You seem like you’ve been on holiday or you’ve spent a week in a meditation retreat. There’s just something about you that looks brighter – something you could never get by plastering a little extra foundation on your skin.

So what beauty practices work from the inside out? And how can you add them to your routine?

Consume Hyaluronic Acid Every Day

If you think that hyaluronic acid is just something you should put on your skin, then think again. It turns out that the molecular size of most serums is actually too large to penetrate and plump your skin. But when you consume the molecule, your stomach breaks it down into smaller parts, allowing it to flow through the bloodstream and nourish all your skin cells from the inside out.

Hyaluronic is a miraculous compound because of its ability to hold water. Scientists think that it can contain up to one thousand times its weight when hydrated – an astonishing amount. What’s more, when you have more of it circulating in your body, it signals to your cells that they should produce more collagen. And so your entire face starts appearing younger and more vibrant. It’s almost miraculous.

Get Some Apple Cider Vinegar

For decades, researchers practically ignored vinegar. What possible difference could it make to your beauty?

Well, it turns out that the effects of apple cider vinegar can be tremendous. The reason it is so effective is that it reduces blood sugar levels. When you consume it with a meal, it slows the rate the starches go into your body, preventing your cells from becoming overloaded. This process, in turn, helps to keep the immune system humming along smoothly, preventing inflammation. And that keeps your skin clear and glossy, like glass.

It doesn’t have to be apple cider vinegar, of course. Virtually any type will work, including balsamic, malt and red wine.

Go For An Infrared Sauna

Have you ever shone a torch through your hand in a dark room? What do you notice? You soon discover that light travels all the way through your body, coming out of the other side looking red?

Well, it turns out that red light itself can have exceptional benefits for the skin and how it looks. Patients who go for broadband light treatment and beauty clinics can look up to ten years younger than their actual age

How is this possible?

It all comes down to the effect of red light on the skin. According to practitioners, it has a unique ability to activate the body’s inherent repair pathways. Skin “remembers” what it used to look like when it was younger and actually goes back to its original form. It’s quite incredible really.

Please note that red light therapy has nothing to do with tanning beds or UV light. It works in a completely different way and won’t make your skin darker. It’ll just look more glowing.

Increase Your Brown Fat

Increasing the fat on your body doesn’t sound like beauty therapy, but it is. We’re used to thinking that fat is a bad thing, but it’s not at all. The more fat you have in the right places, the more youthful you look. One of the reasons people get a neck lift is that they lose their brown fat. So how do you increase it?

Well, simple really. First, eat spicy foods. The capsaicin in chillies encourages your body to produce more fatty pads under your skin. That, in turn, helps to make your face look plumper and smoother.

You can also expose yourself to cold. That too will encourage your body to produce more fat under the skin. That’s why so many people take ice baths after going to the sauna. The extreme temperature changes totally change how their skin feels and behaves.

Take Flax Seed

Lastly, eating plenty of omega-3 fatty acids is one of the most profound and powerful things you can do to improve how you look and feel. Don’t get it from fish – get it from flax instead. It’s easier, cheaper and way more effective.
