Lifestlye and Beauty Favourites from 2021
2021 was another whirlwind of a year. Having said that I do have some favourites I would like to share with you. So without further ado here is my Lifestlye and Beauty Favourites from 2021.
Lifestyle Favourites
Hot TuB
I know this is such a luxury thing to have and not something I purchased myself but, it has been amazing for my pain. Hydrotherapy is something that really helps with my fibromyalgia and being able to be in the water with or without the bubbles on is so beneficial for my back.
Gold Hoop Earrings
These are tiny gold hoop earrings, I have two pairs and I wear them everyday. I’m obsessed, I just love the way they look and they are so comfortable, I can sleep in them.
Bee Happy Hoody
This is just my go-to thing to wear. Need to nip out to the shop or pick my sister up, just shove this on with some leggings. It's so cosy, who doesn't love an oversized hoody?
Animal Crossing
Yes I joined the ACNH gang. I got my switch February last year and was so excited to join my sisters in playing animal crossing. I wouldn't say I am addicted to it, like many people were during the first lockdown. But, I do enjoy playing it and go through phases of playing it for a few days in a row and then nothing for a couple of days. I am no expert and my island is far from finished but it is fun.
Wuka Period Pants
Yes that's right, period pants. If you follow me on instagram you would have seen me talking about these. These are truly amazing. No more waste of sanitary towels/pads or tampons. Simply wear and put in the wash. Wuka period pants are so comfortable and they have a varierty of styles and sizes. These have been life changing for me and it is such a great sustainable change to make.
Graduation
Obviously the highlight of my year was graduating from my nursing degree and becoming a registered nurse. It was a long, hard journey but I am so proud of what I have achieved.
Beauty Favourites
PMD Clean Facial Cleansing Device - £135
The PMD cleansing device is still one of my favourite products, I have been using it for 2 years now. I tend to use it in the shower to wash my face, it is really effective and so quick and easy. Auric Glow Lust in the shade Morganite - $45/£33.40
Auric Glow Lust is a randiant luminzer that contains ultra fine pearl for instant hydration and glow. If you want the dewy look, then this a product for you. The shade morganite is a light cool beige. I tend to use this ontop of makeup as a pin point highlight on my cheek bones or on 'no makeup' days all over as a base.
Auric Smoke Reflect in the shade Defiance $39/£28.94
Auric Shadow Reflect is a cream and powder duo. Inside the jar is a smooth, longwear, creaseless cream shadow. Underneath the top lid is a light-reflecting, micro-glitter eyeshadow infused with high-shine pearls. The shade defiance has a bronze cream shadow and a gold micro glitter powder. This is such a gorgeous one and done eyeshadow and the shade is perfect for my blue eyes.
Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer in the shade Butta Biscuit - £29
This cream bronzer gives a natural looking bronzed glow, blends like a dream and is easy to build up but never looks too much. I love it, it just melts into the skin and I never feel like I've over done it
Fenty Beauty Sheer Shiny Lipstick in the shade Retro Rose - £20
This Fenty lip shine lipstick is a lightweight nourishing lipstick. The shade retro rose is a dusty pink colour. This has quickly become my favourite lipstick, the shade is really pretty. It’s really easy to slap on and hydrating and comfortable to wear.
Glossier Boy Brow - £14
The Glossier Boy brow is a ‘brow gel’ that is more like a cream that you can brush through your brows to get a fuller look. It shapes and grooms them into place. I don’t tend to do a lot with my brows but this is the best brow gel I have tried.
Glossier Future Dew - £23
Glossier futuredew is an oil serum hybrid. You can use it as the last step in your skincare routine, alone or under makeup. It’s a glow giving product designed to give you that dewy look. I use this product over my cheeks before foundation and it gives my skin a lovely glow.
Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lipstick in the shade Sexy Lips - £25
The Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is a nude peach and gives my lips a glossy fresh-looking shine. Similarly to the my Fenty lipstick, it is really easy and comfortable to wear.
Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 15ml - £30
Elemis is a premium brand so it is expensive but this product is worth it for me. I got it as part of a set and it is an amazing moisturiser. It's a rich cream which is fab for my dry skin but it isn't sticky or greasy.
