Is the PMD Clean Pro worth it? – Review

AD – Gifted. This post contains gifted items, but all thoughts are my own.

Cleansing brushes have been hyped up a lot over the years, ones such as the clarisonic and foreo. A couple of months ago PMD reached out to me to see if I want to try one of their cleansing brushes. So this post is going to be my PMD Clean Pro review, I put the cleansing brush to the test to see if it is worth it.

PMD Clean Pro

The PMD Clean Pro is a cleansing device to help break down dirt and excess oil from the pores. The vibrations are designed to help firm and tone the skin. It has silicone bristles on one side to deep cleanse. On the other side it is a Patent-pending ActiveWarmth™ facial massager. It allows skincare to be absorbed deeper and more effective.

Features of the PMD Clean Pro

SonicGlow™ Technology breaks down dirt and oil from within the pores at 7,000 vibrations per minute. The device comes with different modes. As it is designed for 2 uses; cleansing and anti-ageing facial massage, it has 2 modes for each.

For cleansing it has Mode1 – gentle vibration and Mode2 – intense vibration. Then for anti-ageing facial massage it has Mode3 – gentle pulsation and Mode4 – intense pulsation. To switch through the modes simply press the power button.

Using the ActiveWarmth™ facial massager combined with the SonicGlow™ Technology helps your skincare with deeper absorption and effectiveness. The pulsations help with blood flow and collagen production is increased.

The device is silicone which makes it odour-resistant, antibacterial and hypoallergenic. It is also waterproof.

It had an ergonomic design and the device is rechargeable, self-standing and no replacement head is necessary.

Using the PMD Clean Pro

The first step is to wet your face and apply cleanser. You can use any type of cleanser you like whether it be foam, oil, cream or balm. I’ve found it works best with a cream or oil cleanser.

Next wet your PMD Clean Pro and press the on button. I like mode 1 for everyday use, but if my skin is feeling especially congested, I’ll use mode 2.

PMD Clean Pro SonicGlow™ Technology

Start moving the brush in circular motions across your face. I tend to start on my forehead, then over my cheeks and finally over my nose and around my mouth. I like to spend more time around my nose as that is the place that gets congested easily.

After you have finished cleansing your face, wash your face with water to remove the excess cleanser. Then rinse the device and pat dry.

You can then start your skincare routine. When it comes to serums and oils, apply them to your face and then power on the ActiveWarmth™. You can also start the SonicGlow™ Technology and turn it to either mode 3 or 4. Again use circular motions to massage the product into the skin.

My thoughts

I have been using the PMD Clean Pro for a few months now and I absolutely love it. I like to use this to double cleanse, first to take off my makeup; which it is really effective at doing, then as a second cleanse. As it is easy and quick to use and waterproof, I like to use it in the shower to wash my face.

After intially using it to cleanse, my skin feels super clean and bright. Then after using it regularly for a few weeks I noticed my skin doesn’t get congested as quickly. I get a lot less breakouts and my skin definitely looks clearer. The warming feature is such a treat. It feels like a luxurious facial and it does help my skincare sink in quicker. My face always looks glowing after using it.

The device is really easy to use and very gentle on my skin. I feel that it is much better than a bristle head cleansing device as they can be quite harsh on the skin. The vibrations are actually relaxing and it’s like a mini massage, my skin feels and looks more plumped after using. I have noticed as well as my skin feeling smoother, it also looks smoother and less textured.

Is the PMD Clean Pro worth it?

For me the PMD Clean Pro is really worth it, it has been a lovely addition to my routine and I’ve found it effective at keeping my skin clear. Overall I am really impressed with this cleansing brush and I will continue to use it in my skincare routine. The PMD Clean Pro comes in 4 colours; navy, teal, berry and white. It comes with the charger, storage case and one year warranty. You can purchase it for £135 from PMD Beauty directly. It does seem expensive but you are getting two elements in one and I believe in investing in skincare, as my skin something I’ll have my whole life and it is important to look after it.

Have you tried a cleansing brush before?

I’ve also reviewed the PMD Personal Microderm which is an at home microdermabrasion treatment.
