Using the UFO smart mask
To use the device you need to download the Foreo app and sync your device via bluetooth. Once this is done, you need to scan the barcode of your chosen mask so that your device knows what treatment to use. Your device and app are both synced. You can attach the mask by clipping the attachment ring with the mask onto the back of the device. You can now start your treatment via the app and the device will automatically start. I used the Make My Day Mask Anti-Pollution & Hydrating Facial Treatment. It contains red algae and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and give radiance.
The app was easy enough to download and pair with device. I found the mask simple to attach to the device. I thoroughly enjoyed the treatment. The heat and cooling technology was very soothing on the skin. Having the pulsations changing frquency across my skin felt relaxing and rejuvenating.
My skin felt and looked hydrated and plumped after the treatment. It felt luxurious to use and felt like it was really doing something, which I liked.
My final thoughts
The treatment was easy enough to do at home and you still get the latest skincare tech and effects of the mask ingredients. Although the mask I used was lovely and reasonably priced. I felt like it would be nice and more beneficial to be able to use the device with any mask, rather than ones specifically from foreo. I decided to put my thoughts to the test and used the device with 3 different types of face masks.
There were a few problems that occured while testing this. Firstly the masks designed to be used with the device are of a certain shape and size to fit neatly onto the back of the device. I could not find any masks similar and it just doesn’t work with a normal sheet mask. Finding the right mask concistency was a challenge. Some were too creamy, others to sticky and gel like. Nothing compared to the mask provided to use with the device. Lastly, as the device is connected to the app, to use the device you need to scan the barcode of the mask you are using so that the device knows which treatment to start.
I now feel that if you are going to purchase the UFO smart mask, it will be an investment for your skincare routine. It is important to use the device properly and for best results use the masks designed to be used with the UFO.

There are 7 different masks from the core range and 5 new masks to choose from, depending on the type of treatment you want. The masks vary in price. The one I used, ‘Make My Day Mask’ is ยฃ9.99 for a pack of 7 masks.
