Schwarzkopf Only Love Hair Dye Review
My friend Kate and I have dyed our so many colours of the years, so I wanted to include this Schwarzkopf Only Love Hair Dye* Review on my blog. We have dyed our hair so many colours including black, red, blue and purple. We’ve even had to use the Colour B4 Extra Strength Hair Colour Remover to help get our hair back to blonde, which I’ve also done a review on.
Hair dye can really take its toll on the hair, leaving it damaged with split ends and it feeling dry. Schwarzkopf have created this Superdrug edition called ‘Only Love’ which contains no ammonia, silicone or alcohol, but includes oat milk, soy protein and argan oil to keep the hair hydrated and soft.

How to use Schwarzkopf Only Love Hair Dye
The product is a standard box dye, it comes with the dye itself which is in two parts that you mix together, gloves and a sachet of conditioner. After you’ve mixed the products together you can apply to your hair. Starting at the roots and then work your way through the lengths. It helps to use a wide tooth comb to section the hair, for an even application.
Kate’s thoughts

- Without ammonia, or silicone I was curious to see if my hair would end up with some silvery tones, like on the example photo.
- The box is attractive and colourful.
- The instructions simple enough, although the diagrams are tiny.
- The colour tube and developer are easy to use.
- The dye took well and I’m really pleased with the end result.
As you can see, the dye has reduced a lot of the yellow tones in the hair. Hair was left feeling soft and smooth and there wasn’t a potent smell, just a lovely fragrance ‘like you’ve just come out of the hairdressers’.
Overall really impressed with this little box dye. I love that it doesn’t contain ammonia, silicone or alcohol which can be damaging for the hair. The colour is fab and the process was fuss free.
