New High-Street Beauty Purchases

Over the past few months I have been making quite a few purchases in the beauty department. I have been loving just having a browse around the shops and picking up new and interesting pieces I haven’t seen before.

On Thursday I was lucky enough to attend Lush Swansea’s first blogger event! The event was based around the new Christmas collection and I got to experience it all with the blogging babes; Neesha, Ffion, Charlee and Holly, as well as new blogger Leanne and even Johny came too, now that he is addicted to Lush. I also got to have a quick catch up with Katie, who I hadn’t seen properly for 3 years, so that was nice.

My Week In Photos | 20th-26th June 2016

I had a good week. Had quite a few busy days in work, then got to spend some lovely quality time with my boyfriend in Cardiff. I ate loads of delicious food and had loads of cuddles with cats and dogs. I also got to see my friend from school, who I hardly ever see, so was great to have a catch up. Highlight of the week, was getting my first car – my baby!

What I got for my birthday

Just over a month ago it was my 22nd birthday, and yes I did sing ‘feeling 22’ at the top of my lungs. I had a lovely day shopping, getting my makeup done, having Joe’s ice cream and going out for food with Johny. I was such a lucky girl and got spoilt rotten.

Along with taking me out to a restaurant, Johny bought me these rose gold, diamond heart earrings to match the necklace he gave me at Christmas.

My Week In Photos | 13th- 9th June 2016

This week has been quite a bit less eventful than last week. Went back to work after my lovely holiday. Had a really bad week with anxiety, and had a couple of panic attacks. Also I have been having countless migraines which have been causing me a lot of pain and stress, I think it’s down to the pressure in the air. Although, I have been good with healthy eating, I have decided not to eat chocolate during the week. So far so good.

Review – Lush SkinDrink Moisturiser

The Lush bath products are so popular, and just as popular are their skin products. I have heard a lot about their different face products including the spot treatment ‘Grease Lightening’ and the ever famous ‘Million Dollar’ moisturiser. I popped into one of my local Lush stores, and at the time could not fork out Β£32.50 for the million dollar moisturiser so decided to have a chat with one of the sales assistants and explained what I was looking for within a moisturiser. I was advised to try the SkinDrink moisturiser and I’m so glad I bought it.

What I got for Christmas 2015

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I had an amazing time spending time with my family.

As always with these posts, I am not bragging just simply sharing a few things I received for Christmas, as I know a lot of people like reading them.

From my sister, Annabelle I received these 3 beauties from MAC. A single eyeshadow in the shade Mythology, a 217 blending brush and a lipstick in the shade Patisserie.

I need.. want.. NEED!

Simple statement – ‘I need money’

It seems as if every beauty blog post I read, every #bbloggers chat I take part in, there is always something new that I need.. want.. NEED!

Okay, so I may not exactly need all the beauty items, but as a beauty enthusiast I love trying new products. There is something very therapeutic about playing with new make up or skin care items (Nope.. just me?)

Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil – I recently did a review of this little beauty and now I really want to get the full size. It is a lovely cleansing oil and great for a first step cleanse. See my review here.

Mac lipstick in Patisserie – This lipstick is the prettiest shade of nude pink and is raved about my many bloggers/youtubers. I just need to get my hands on it.

Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush – Another Bobbi product, again raved about and often compared to the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which can be found in the core collection set. Having been to a Bobbi counter and the brush being used on me, I would say it is a little more dense than the buffing brush and I cannot wait to add it to my beauty stash.

Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eye liner – I am currently using Soap & Glory Supercat liner, it has a good fine nib and wears nicely, however I have heard the Stila eye liner has even better staying power and is more of an intense black.

Superfacialist Rose Intense Moisture Mask – I’ve tried one product from this range before and I really like it so I thought I’d try some more, this time something more hydrating. I’ve heard a few good things about it, I think it’ll be worth a try.

Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil – Also hyped up by bloggers is this new product. A serum in an oil seems like a very interesting concept and I really need a new serum so I’m hoping this will do the trick.

Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set – I have been lusting for this brush set for exactly a year today, when ‘Zoella’ posted about it on her blog. Ever since then I have read countless reviews about it and still haven’t taken the plunge. I mean for a set of eight brushes the price is pretty reasonable but to spend nearly Β£60 on some brushes when I already have various other ones makes me cringe. However one day, when I have the money I will purchase them.

Pixi Glow Tonic – I am starting to get a bit more adventurous with toning and have just brought a new one to try out. So after that one is finished I am hoping to buy the Pixi glow tonic as I’ve heard amazing things about this product.

Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment – My pesky spots are just seeming to get worse and worse and as this has been recommended to me many times when my current spot treatment runs out I will be testing this one. The only negative point I have heard about this product is that the bottle disperses too much product.

Mac Eye Kohl in Teddy – Lastly another cult product, the favourite brown eye pencil. I love brown eye liners, I especially like using them in summer as its a lot softer looking and I feel it makes my blue eyes pop. I just want to try this really, and see what all the fuss is about.

I hope you have enjoyed this post, maybe found something new you want to add to your wishlist. Let me know if you have tried any of these products and also what you would to add to your collection.
