Moving forward…

I want to share a personal update with you, it is something which is a big step but  I am very excited about!

As some of you may know, I decided to go back into education and start an Access to Healthcare course last September.

I must say, I was told it was an intense course, however nothing could prepare me for this. It’s bloody hard!

I am still plodding along with the course, there’s days when I am laying in bed sobbing over the coursework.. I am determined to make it to the end and finish the course though.

If anyone’s got tips on motivation, send them my way!

The last few months have been tough as well, because not only have I been attending college, I have started training for a new job. I am now a health care support worker. I have had to miss days off college and reschedule exams and assignment days to work around my training. Apart from that, I am really enjoying the training and have learn’t a lot already. It’s been great to be hands on.

A look back at 2016

What a year, It’s had up’s and downs but I got through it. I had some lovely adventures with my blogging friends, including Bluestone and a trip to London. I also got to visit some amazing places with Johny, such as St David’s cathedral, Carew’s Castle and the Isle of Wight. I faced a fear – holding a snake. I bought a car and past my driving test. Both Johny and I had surgery on the same day. I started the Access to Healthcare course. I got a new job. But most importantly spent loads of time with my family. Here’s just some of my pictures from 2016.

One minute I am on a high, loving life and the next I am crashing down and comfort eating. I am trying to learn how to deal with life’s roller-coaster and it’s not easy.

Let’s start at the very beginning

The first month in college has gone by in a whirlwind and it’s been absolutely AMAZING. Initially, the first couple of days seemed quite disorganized. There were a lot of room changes, swapping of students and tutors and loads of form filling. Eventually things settled down and we were soon full swing into all the topics. It is very very intense. Studying lots of new subjects is very daunting and there are a lot of technical terms to learn.

Back to college essentials!

Untitled

As some of you may know, after 3 years, I have decided go back to college and I will be starting next week to follow my dream of going into healthcare OH MY GOD, I’M BACK IN EDUCATION! The funny thing is I never really enjoyed college the first time around, I mainly just liked the social aspect. However I am seriously excited to start learning again, I’m not sure why exactly as I think a few months down line I’ll be crying ‘WHHYYY, why did I do this to myself’. Perhaps it’s because I am doing something completely different and it feels like a fresh start. Who knows? But Monday can’t come quick enough.
