Why Watching Sports At Home Can Be Better!
Something you may not know about me, is that I do quite enjoy watching sports. Not all sports are my cup of tea, some of my favourites include rugby and darts. As much as I love the atmosphere of these events, there are a few reasons why watching sports at home can be better.
We’re currently going through a pandemic and that means that we’ve all been missing out on some things that we once enjoyed – sports being one of them. Watching a match with your favourite people and cheering as a mega fan is part of the fun of sports, but for most people it comes from paying for a season ticket and being in the stands. It’s the smell of the burgers cooking and the halftime coffee. The collective group screaming in the stands and someone starting a Mexican wave and watching the whole stadium stand for it.
The thing is, while watching your favouite team in a stadium at a game is a great experience, it’s not something everyone enjoys and the pandemic has taught us that actually, we can get just as much enjoyment at home. Whether you love to read about and watch sports on https://sportnews.in/news, or you love to recreate the stadium experience in the living room with popcorn and hotdogs, watching sports in the house is going to be so much better this year. Below, we’ve got all of the reasons you should think about how watching sports at home is better.

Full view
You get to watch the match from more than one angle. When you are sitting in your seat in the stadium stands, you only get to watch a game from where you are sitting. You can’t appreciate the goals and baskets scored from every angle of the pitch, but you can at home. Sports games are filmed with more than one camera and some are filmed with the help of drones these days, allowing you a full view of the top and sides of the pitch you wouldn’t usually see!
Social
It’s a great way to socialise. You might not be able to have all of your friends around all the time, but you can get everyone on FaceTime or Skype and you can set people up in the room with you to watch the game. If you are living with friends or family, you can all get together and watch – it’ll be a thing!
Multiple sports
You keep control at home. If you want to flip between games at home, you can! This is especially handy if you have more than one match you want to watch at the same time. You can control who watches the games with you, what you drink, what you eat and you can even control the volume and pause the television when you need to go to the bathroom. You aren’t under the control of anything other than you at home, and that can be a big deal if you hate being in crowded places.
Snacks
You choose the food! Half the fun of seeing a sports game is in the smells and sights, and yet when you’re at home if you don’t feel like cooking up hotdogs smothered in cheese you don’t have to. You can control the food options and drinks – and you can get everyone to bring a plate!
