Norvell Venetian Gradual Self Tanning Lotion

Any fellow ghosties will know that trying to find a fake tan that gives a nice bronzed glow, without looking like an oompa loompa or a wotsit (cheese puff) is tricky. I was kindly sent the Norvell Venetian Gradual Self Tanning Lotion to test out and share my opinions on.

This product is Gluten Free, Paraben Free, Cruelty Free and Non-Comedogenic

The Norvell Venetian Gradual Self Tanning Lotion mixes the award winning venetian bronzer, along with the skincare benefits of a CC cream. It is designed to brighten and firm the skin whilst the ingredient of DHA gradually develops sunless color intensity over multiple applications to build or extend a tan.

I smothered myself in this stuff, hoping I’d wake up looking like a golden goddess.

Application tips

– Avoid streaks by shaving, waxing and exfoliating 12-24 hours before tanning to ensure an even, natural looking tan.

– Avoid lotion immediately before tanning since it acts as a barrier on the skin.

– When self tanning, use the Norvell Applicator Mitt with all of the products to avoid staining of the hands. If you use hands to apply, wash hands immediately after use.

I was able to apply the tan evenly and it absorbed in nicely, it didn’t feel sticky at all. The fragrance: Paradise Breeze smelled gorgeous and there wasn’t an over powering biscuit smell like normal tans have. I applied it before I went to bed, to let it do it’s thing overnight.

I was pleasantly suprised by how tanned I was after just one application. Usually I have to put on a few layers before noticing a lovely bronzed colour. Straight away I was able to see it had given me a golden glow.

I am really impressed by this product, as I really struggle to find a good tan colour and one that doesn’t go patchy or streaky.
