I want to share a personal update with you, it is something which is a big step but I am very excited about!
As some of you may know, I decided to go back into education and start an Access to Healthcare course last September.
I must say, I was told it was an intense course, however nothing could prepare me for this. It’s bloody hard!
I am still plodding along with the course, there’s days when I am laying in bed sobbing over the coursework.. I am determined to make it to the end and finish the course though.
If anyone’s got tips on motivation, send them my way!
The last few months have been tough as well, because not only have I been attending college, I have started training for a new job. I am now a health care support worker. I have had to miss days off college and reschedule exams and assignment days to work around my training. Apart from that, I am really enjoying the training and have learn’t a lot already. It’s been great to be hands on.
What a year, It’s had up’s and downs but I got through it. I had some lovely adventures with my blogging friends, including Bluestone and a trip to London. I also got to visit some amazing places with Johny, such as St David’s cathedral, Carew’s Castle and the Isle of Wight. I faced a fear – holding a snake. I bought a car and past my driving test. Both Johny and I had surgery on the same day. I started the Access to Healthcare course. I got a new job. But most importantly spent loads of time with my family. Here’s just some of my pictures from 2016.
I feel like having a chat. I’m not sure why really, I just feel like expressing myself today. I’m feeling quite spaced out, like nothing seems real and the days are just flowing past. Is this what it feels like growing up? My mother always says the days just fly by. It seems as if life has no purpose, I mean it obviously does. I just feel like I am not getting anywhere.
This week has been a bit of a whirlwind, to be honest I can’t really remember what happened. I had work – as usual busy busy. I had two hospital appointments. I had yummy food. I said goodbye to my family as they are all going on holiday for two weeks. House to myself, well and Johny. Oh and of course the cat. I’m off work in one of my jobs for two weeks myself so am going to work hard on my blog.
This week I’ve been busy working and also going to the gym with my cousin and sister. I also had a lovely time shopping with my mum, cousin and two sisters. Spent a bit too much money but oh well, it was worth it! Johny and I got to spend some together and we booked our ferry crossing for our holiday to the Isle of White.
I’ve really enjoyed this week! Busy working for the most part but managed to do a few things in between. Johny and I both had our haircuts, and I’m in love with my new style. I also did a bit of shopping. I picked up some mats and a Yankee candle air freshener for my car. I also got a few bits of stationary ready for college and some new bedding for my room.
This week has been a roller coaster of emotions. I was so happy on Monday as my sister came back home from Exeter Uni, it’s been so great to see her. Then I became ill, and was back to the doctors again! More tablets and more time off work. Then to top it all off, I had a really bad panic attack during a driving lesson, and with my test coming up soon it really upset me. Hopefully next week will be a better one.
I was off work for most of the week, I wasn’t healing properly so have started taking antibiotics. I feel really proud of myself, I drove my car to work on the weekend with my dad sitting next to me. It felt great, and dad was pleased with my driving. I also went fragrance smelling with Johny and I finally found one I love, so made a cheeky purchase. Overall a good week, still in pain and recovering but I’m getting there.
This week has been a bit of a weird one. The first few days was a whirlwind, I was really anxious and busy in work. Wednesday was when everything changed, such a coincidence that Johny and I were going to the same hospital, on the same day, at the same time for our operations. It was such a long day for the both of us and we both took longer to recover than expected. So over the weekend we’ve just been laying in bed, trying to feel better.
