Last week I was invited to Cardiff, to the first Spectrum Collections event, in Wales! If any of you don’t know, Spectrum Collections is a Welsh based brand, created by the lovely Sophie and Hannah Pycroft and it was great for them to have an event in their home country.
The evening began with pink prosecco, sweeties from candy kittens and mingling with all the bloggers. The room looked amazing, decorated with beautiful flower arrangements from Urban Flower Studio.
The event mainly consisted of us sat watching a live makeup demo. The tutorial was to show case Spectrum’s new 35 piece brush set. For me personally, the tutorial took too long and when sat far away we couldn’t actually see what was going on. It would have helped if it was also shown on the big screen behind them. The makeup demo itself was good and from the questions asked, some interesting beauty information was gained.
The rest of the evening consisted of a vegan buffet from Milgi and unicorn cocktails from Dirty Martini.
Look how pretty their brushes are!
A huge thank to Spectrum Collections for hosting the event!
Since being on Roaccutane, I have found it difficult to wear makeup as my skin has been so sensitive and irritable, anything can set it off. Recently my skin has been better and I have been able to wear makeup a couple of times a week.
My current favourites are; Benefit Sugarbomb Blusher, RealTechniques 101 Triangle Foundation Brush, Eyeko Liquid Black Eyeliner and Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.
My makeup has been very basic but pretty, with natural rosy cheeks and a classic feline flick. It has made me feel like me again as I love playing around with different products.
You cannot generalize women. This Christmas I’ve decided to show that the majority of Christmas gift guides for her (women/girls) are stereotypical. Not all females like the same things, we all have different likes and interests.
My sister, cousin and I, were all brought up very closely yet we are all completely different. In this post I will show you my Christmas list and then over the next few posts I’ll show you theirs.
Over the past few months I have been making quite a few purchases in the beauty department. I have been loving just having a browse around the shops and picking up new and interesting pieces I haven’t seen before.
Boots have launched a new wonderful thing called the ‘Beauty Emporium’. It is heaven for all us beauty addicts and such a fab idea to see and try all the new beauty lines. The Beauty Emporium is a new set up in boots where on a weekly basis they will be promoting different brands and offering tips and tricks of the latest trends.
Boots kindly invited me to attend their Swansea opening event and have a look around the emporium. I decided to take my mum with me and have a girly mother and daughter evening.
It used to be a luxury for me to go to a MAC counter. The closest one was in Cardiff and I would hardly ever go there. It would be a big planned shopping trip. Until I recently found out MAC have launched a counter in Debenhams Swansea store.
After trying the Proactiv+ 3 Step Skincare Range, I was really intrigued to try more of their products. I was kindly sent the Proactiv Repairing Concealer* to test out.
The Repairing Concealer is marketed so that you can treat your spots and the same time as hiding them. With salicylic acid in it, it’s targeted to treat each individual spot, as you apply the concealer to cover up the imperfections. This concealer is a quad and advertised so that you can customize the shades to match your skin tone.
