Yesterday I had I lovely relaxing afternoon with my girl friends at the Vale Resort, having afternoon tea. We had the new summer afternoon tea menu, which works out at £35 for two.
Last week I was invited to Cardiff, to the first Spectrum Collections event, in Wales! If any of you don’t know, Spectrum Collections is a Welsh based brand, created by the lovely Sophie and Hannah Pycroft and it was great for them to have an event in their home country.
The event mainly consisted of us sat watching a live makeup demo. The tutorial was to show case Spectrum’s new 35 piece brush set. For me personally, the tutorial took too long and when sat far away we couldn’t actually see what was going on. It would have helped if it was also shown on the big screen behind them. The makeup demo itself was good and from the questions asked, some interesting beauty information was gained.
Look how pretty their brushes are!
A huge thank to Spectrum Collections for hosting the event!
When I heard that the lovely Katie was organising a blogger event for the new Kiehl’s Cardiff store, I knew I had to go! Kiehl’s has always been a brand I have been longing to try but never had the chance to as there were no counters near where I live. I’d continuously hear the songs and praises from people using their products and was really intrigued to learn what knowledge of skincare they had.
This quote is so true about life. You are always going to have ups and downs, but you have just got to learn how to cope with them. One minute I am on a high, loving life and the next I am crashing down and comfort eating. I am trying to learn how to deal with life’s roller-coaster and it’s not easy.
The first month in college has gone by in a whirlwind and it’s been absolutely AMAZING. Initially, the first couple of days seemed quite disorganized. There were a lot of room changes, swapping of students and tutors and loads of form filling. Eventually things settled down and we were soon full swing into all the topics. It is very very intense. Studying lots of new subjects is very daunting and there are a lot of technical terms to learn.
The second post in my What’s in a bloggers makeup bag? series comes from the contents of Charlee from Rose Above The Thorns makeup bag.
The products in Charlee’s makeup bag are; Makeup Revolution Flawless Eyeshadow Palette, MAC Lipstick in Frosted Plum, Collection Gel Eyeliner, Nivea Lipbalm, Revlon Rose Pink Blusher, Revlon Colourstay Foundation, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer and Bourjois Kohl Mascara.
Waking up at 5:30am and leaving Swansea Coach station at 7:00, we prepared ourselves for the exciting day ahead. The girls and I were heading to London for the #BigBloggerExpo event, held by Lauren and Abi. I was stoked to be going to such a great event, but also so pleased to be going to London. I hadn’t been since I was a little girl, so I was looking forward to seeing the different lifestyle aspect.
Included in our holiday to Bluestone we had to the chance to experience the Well Spa Retreat. This lovely cute looking house on the outside suddenly turns into a luxurious tranquil relaxation zone. With the calming music and the beautiful aroma from the oils it makes you feel so content and relaxed.
