Your top five traveling essentials for a winter getaway

This time of year, most people like to book a short break away to get away from the dreary weather. You could be heading to Cologne for their famous markets, architecture and museums. Or perhaps you’ve decided to hit the slopes for some skiing, putting your feet up in front of a blazing fire each night. Whatever the destination, winter packing is just as difficult as traveling during the summer, so here are the essentials you should make sure you don’t leave home without.

  1. Stylish holdalls

When you’re taking a break rather than a full holiday, try to cut down on your packing. By opting for a holdall that qualifies as a carry-on, you’ll not only make traveling to different cities easier, but you’ll cut out the cost of paying for checked-in baggage. There are some quirky designs out there these days too, which means you’ll stay on trend even when trekking through an airport. However, make sure you always buy a well-known luggage manufacturer, such as Antler or Tripp. Although that designer piece might look pretty, the chances are that the quality won’t be there.

  1. Organisers

It’s always a good idea to be organised for your trip. Shop around for your currency rate, try to book tickets for shows in advance where you can, always print your hotel confirmation, and make sure you have back-up paper copies of any e-boarding passes. The problem is, where do you put it all? There are some cute travel organisers that you can pick up on Etsy and Not on the High Street, and it means you’ll have everything in one place.

  1. Fashion accessories

It’s always difficult choosing fashion accessories for winter holidays, so try to stick to simple additions. Invest in luxurious fur gloves, hats and scarfs that match, so that they can easily be paired with any outfit. When it comes to jewellery, stick to a few key statement pieces, such as your ChloBo charm bracelet and a timepiece with some sparkle.

  1. Mini first-aid kits

As it’s the colder time of year, it’s always a good idea to take cold and flu medicine with you, so that you don’t have to worry about finding a pharmacy whilst you’re in a foreign country. Try to second guess what you’ll need, such as plasters for your feet after those long walks around cobbled streets, or a lip-balm for your chapped lips from the harsh elements.

  1. Think smart when packing

If you’re taking a holdall rather than a full suitcase, you’ll be looking for space-saving ideas: go for two jumpers instead of several thinner tops, wear your bulky coat for all weathers to the airport, but pack a lightweight waterproof, and make sure you wear your good pair of walking shoes too, cutting down on the weight. If you’re going skiing but you’re not a regular, the chances are you won’t have the gear, so buy cheaper versions or simply hire your ski-wear whilst you’re there.

Where are you heading to this winter?

The not so typical Christmas gift guide for her..

You cannot generalize women. This Christmas I’ve decided to show that the majority of Christmas gift guides for her (women/girls) are stereotypical. Not all females like the same things, we all have different likes and interests.

My sister, cousin and I, were all brought up very closely yet we are all completely different. In this post I will show you my Christmas list and then over the next few posts I’ll show you theirs.

Current Wishlist | August 2016

So the other day I was sitting down trying to come up with some blog post ideas, and my little sister suggested to me “How about a wishlist post?” and I thought, ‘You know what I haven’t done one of those in a long while’. So that’s exactly what I am going to share with you today.

I’ve been curious about facial brush cleansers for a long time now, so really interested in finding the best one. A few options I am looking at are; Magnitone, Clarisonic and No7.

My Rose Gold Obsession – Jewellery Box

When I went to London last month for the #BigBloggerExpo event, I was introduced to the gorgeous brand ‘Jewellery Box’. I met the lovely Gemma and she explained all about the brand and a bit about a couple of pieces I was interested in, that she had on display. I told her about my love for Rose Gold and she kindly gave me a little gift to take home with me.

My Week In Photos | 1st – 7th August 2016

This week I’ve been busy working and also going to the gym with my cousin and sister. I also had a lovely time shopping with my mum, cousin and two sisters. Spent a bit too much money but oh well, it was worth it! Johny and I got to spend some together and we booked our ferry crossing for our holiday to the Isle of White.

My Week In Photos | 25th – 31st July 2016

I’ve really enjoyed this week! Busy working for the most part but managed to do a few things in between. Johny and I both had our haircuts, and I’m in love with my new style. I also did a bit of shopping. I picked up some mats and a Yankee candle air freshener for my car. I also got a few bits of stationary ready for college and some new bedding for my room.

#BigBloggerExpo | London Meet Up Event

On Sunday 24th July, I woke up early and headed on a lengthy journey to London, along with Charlee and Neesha.

Waking up at 5:30am and leaving Swansea Coach station at 7:00, we prepared ourselves for the exciting day ahead. The girls and I were heading to London for the #BigBloggerExpo event, held by Lauren and Abi. I was stoked to be going to such a great event, but also so pleased to be going to London. I hadn’t been since I was a little girl, so I was looking forward to seeing the different lifestyle aspect.
