I have always wanted to say…
“I’ve found my perfect foundation”
Unfortunately, after all the years of searching, I don’t feel like there will ever be a perfect foundation. Why?
The skin is the largest organ of the body, and it is forever changing. The skin has a complex structure and can change due to a variety of reasons, such as; age, the weather, diet, lifestyle, hormones and medication. Our skin can also change because of the numerous products applied to the skin.
Ever had a foundation that applies smoothly, effortlessly and looks beautiful on the skin one day.. and then the next, it feels cakey and looks patchy?
As our skin changes all the time, it is beneficial to tailor the products we use, to how the skin is on a daily basis. If your skin is feeling dry one day, then use a richer moisturiser and more hydrating foundation. If your skin is looking oily across the t-zone, then perhaps use a matte foundation or add a little powder to set the makeup in place. All beauty products aim to target specific areas, although there are some products that claim “to do everything”.
Buying different types of foundation to suit the changes your skin undergoes, can be expensive. My favourite ways to still get my beauty fix but not break the bank, is it to look for sales, discounts, vouchers, freebies and gifts with purchase.

By switching up your foundation according to your skin, you are more likely to have that desired ‘perfect finish’. Having a few different types of foundation may be expensive, but can also be seen as an investment. We eat food according to what our body needs, so why not use products that the skin needs too.
