Party At The Angel – Blogger event!

13th September 2015 I attended my first blogger event. Some of you may know I have been blogging for just under 4 years now, however over the years with changing my blog and life getting in the way my blogging hasn’t been very consistent.

When I first heard about the #PartyAtTheAngel event I was quite hesitant to go, I thought there was not much point as I am not the best at blogging and no one would really be interested in meeting me. I was on holiday when the email came through about the tickets and I just thought that I’d take the plunge and go, hoping to get inspiration from it. I sure did get inspiration!

I met Beth a couple of hours before the event at the MAC store in Cardiff St Davids Shopping Center. Beth and I decided to meet beforehand to have a chance to relax as we both so nervous. We had a quick look in MAC, had a bite to eat in Starbucks and popped in to Superdrug where we each bought a new lip product. We then headed to the Angel Hotel for the event.

When we arrived Ffion and Charlotte who were hosting the event were putting the final touches in the room, so we waited in the reception with a few other bloggers who had already arrived. Some more bloggers arrived and then we were ushered in to the room where we were greeted with a glass of prosecco and had photo’s taken on the red carpet. We then had a chance to mingle with other bloggers, have canapes and check out the brands who had a stall at the event.

After having a look round I sat down with a group of girls and chatted while eating a cupcake, it was so delicious! Charlotte and Ffion then explained a little bit more about the brands and what was going to happen.

They told us about the competitions that were taking place and the lovely Hanne Jenkins from Beauty Crowd talked to us about the brand and a few of the products that she provided for the goody bags.

While Hanne was talking I had my hair done by the amazing Liam from Just Cuts. He did a fantastic up-do which everyone commented on saying it was very Game Of Thrones inspired.

I then had a chance to talk more to the lovely bloggers, check out the Welsh Girl Problems stall and have fun at the photobooth with Jodie from Joie De Jodie.

At the end I was given a goody bag, which is so cute and includes a range of items from some great brands who sponsored the event.

I had an amazing time at Party At The Angel, I loved meeting everyone and getting inspired. The blogging community is just lovely!
